Haji Syed Jalal-ud-Din Haider

Primary Education of Syed Jalal-ud-Din Haider
He born on 15th Feb, 1872 in Dev Gam District Azim Gharh. He belonged to the Zaidi Sadat family of Joonpur Mufti Mohallah (India).

He was interested to learn English language and passed his M.A. examination .He also learnt Arabic and stood First in Intermediate and B. A. examinations of the University. He was in receipt of Awards and Scholarships from both institutions college and university.

Government Service
After passing the B.A. Examination he got appointment in Allahabad Government Secretariat. During his 4 years service his pay increase from Rs.25/- to Rs.60/- per month. He passed his M.A. during this service.

Lecturer Ship
In 1901 he took decision regarding his source of income and happily left the 60 rupees per month service of Secretariat and joined the lecturer ship in Ali Gharh College on Rs.40/- per months. He remained in this service up to 1904.The period of Ali Gharh college was very short. Here he worked hard for the sake of doing more and more work. The sympathy for the nation developed and began to help the needy and poor student to whom he found wandering in search of tuitions and scholar ships. In this college he at his sweet will collected contribution from the rich students and paid to the poor. He was very much popular amongst the staff as well as students.

Chief College
In 1905 he resumed the Chief College as Assistant Master and served for 23 years and retired as Headmaster. During his service he worked under two Principals. One of them passed the following remarks regarding him

"I do not consider any teacher better than Syed. Jalal-ud-Din Haider"

"The other wrote "Amongst the people I ever met in Punjab and Rajputana I found Mr.Jalal-ud- Din Haider very much devoted to his job"

Foundation of Anjuman Wazifa Sadat-E-Momineen
On 1st April, 1912 Haji Sahib along with Nawab Meerza Mohsin put the foundation of Anjuman Wazifa Sadat-O-Momineen with an amount of Rs. 4.50 (Rs.2.50 by Haji Jalal ud Din and Rs.2/- by Nawab Mohsin Meerza) At that time this amount was sufficient for the monetary help of one Shia student. He faced very ups and down but did not loose his heart and continued his struggle for the uplift of the Anjuman. Consequently the Anjuman's tree became stronger day by day and now thousands of the student all over the Pakistan and India are the beneficiary of this Anjuman.

In 1948 when he came to Pakistan he met to Allama Hafiz Kafait Hussain (May God bless his heavenly soul) and gave him an amount of Rs.4200/- and requested to distribute amongst the students who applied for the scholarship from the Anjuman. It shows his keen interest and devotion to wards the study of Shia students.

After completion of 23 years he was retired from service and got Rs.700/- per month as a pension. During service he had been posted as Special Magistrate. In 1923 he remained Secretary of Anjuman Wazifa Sadat. After retirement he performed Hajj and went to visit holly Shrines. He was served with the title of Khan Bahader. He was a man of many qualities and was a modest fellow .

At last he met to his Lord on 14th October, 1948 .His last home was the Lucknow (India) .

Late Nawab Syed Mohsin Meerza Mosvi Dehlvi,M.A.B.T.

Ancestors of Late Nawab Meerza Mohsin
Late Nawab Syed Mohsin Meerza belonged to a very respectable Muslim family of Dehli (India) His forefathers held very high levele posts during the Moghalia Rule.

Birth and Primary Education
Syed Mohsin Meerza born on 10th March 1883 in a famous locality of Dehli city called Frashkhana. He got his primary education in the Aatamad-dud-Dola Anglo High School, Dehli (Now degree college)He got his primary education from 1st to 10th class in this school and always stood first in his class.

He got admission in the Mission College Dehli and passed his B.A. in 1903.

He succeeded in B.T Examination in 1905 with distinguish marks.


Govt. Service
He got his appointment as Assistant District Inspector of Schools in Umbala. After a some time he was promoted as Headmaster in Normal School Rawalpindi. In 1910 when he was posted in Lahore he passed his M.A. examination in private capacity and got 1st position in Punjab University.

He joined the Gazetted Service on 26th May, 1916 and looked after the duties in the Imperial Service Grade during the world war.

He joined the Shia College Lakhnow as a Principal and worked for two year with great zeal.

Anjuman Wazifa Sadat –O-Momineen
Late Mosin Meerza for the sake of poor and needy students sew the seed of Anjuman Wazifa Sadat-O-Mominen on 1st April 1912 later on it was got registered in 27th August 1915. He continuously worked hard for the betterment of the Anjuman till last resulting in the Anjuman began to take start towards maturation within his life and now thousands of students are the beneficiary of this Anjuman.

Late Mohsin Meerza had a great urge and devotion to serve the nation .You can imagine his passions from one of his sentence as a Secretary of Anjuman Wazifa Sadat-o-Momineen quoted in the Annual Report in 1928 when he was on death bed.

"In the last ,I beg to God for my health enabling myself to serve my nation more and more"

After 10 months serious sickness he died in Dehli , the home land , on 27th June,1929 at 4.00 A.M when he was at the age of 46 years .May God bless his heavenly soul.
